DAB Plus Driver Training

DAB Plus c.i.c was created in December 2006 as an independent subsidiary company to Buchan Dial-a-Community Bus (DACB).
DACB is a Community Transport charity which provides transport and Shopmobility services for the most vulnerable and excluded people in the community. DAB Plus operates as a social enterprise to create a surplus which helps sustain DACB and reduce its reliance on grant funding.
DAB Plus Driver Training provides training in a wide range of subjects including;
• D1 driver training • Fleet driver training •Driver development •Driver CPC’s. • Eco driver Training •Road Safety Presentations
• Learner Driver training • MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme), • Out in 3 emergency evacuation procedures.
We have established a strong client base which includes both Aberdeenshire Council & Aberdeen City Council and various commercial & voluntary organisations.
Staff; Our in house training staff all provide an exceptionally high level of expertise;
Alan Brown (Manager) retired as a Police Inspector in Dec 2014. He is a Police Class one advanced driver and former head of Grampian Police Road Safety unit. He is a member of AIRSO, the Association of Industrial Road Safety Officers & is a qualified ADI (Driving Instructor).
Sean Reynolds (Trainer) retired as a police sergeant in late autumn 2015. He is a Police Class one advanced driver. Sean spent time in both Traffic & Training Departments of Grampian Police/Police Scotland & has a great deal of experience in Road safety & Driver Education.

DACB is a Community Transport charity providing transport & Shopmobility services for the most vulnerable in our community. Thousands of passenger journeys per annum are provided for elderly, disabled, rurally & socially excluded clients in Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen city. None of the services are commercially viable but all provide an essential link for disadvantaged people.
DAB Plus operates as a social enterprise to provide a range of services which will enhance the rural and economic sustainability of the area. All profits generated through its commercial activities are fed directly into DACB in order to reduce the charity’s grant reliance & sustain the charity.
