Company description

Benefacto provides a unique tripartite brokerage service between firms, their
employees and the charities they help. The brokerage is operationalized by a web
portal-based brokerage & booking service, offering a menu of ‘click-to-book’
volunteering opportunities (currently) in London. The selection is wide enough to engage the interest of professionals and provide dates to suit their busy diaries.

Unlike existing volunteering directories Benefacto’s brokerage service removes
main obstacles. The thirty charities we currently work with strongly agree they benefit from utilizing enthusiastic, educated, committed and skilled volunteering professionals. Whilst, employee volunteers & the corporates themselves see great benefits.

Track record

Benefacto currently works with thirty community-focused charities in London, providing them with volunteers from around twenty corporate clients. In December 2014; 30 charities received 1,000 volunteers from our existing corporate clients totalling 8,600 hours of voluntary time.

Citizenship and community

Social purpose

Benefacto’s mission is to increase radically the contribution of professional people to the community by increasing both the volume of volunteering and the value to
charities of each interaction. Our extensive research with charities and companies shows the principal obstacles preventing professionals from volunteering for community organisations is lack of easily and instantly-comparable choice and the frictions of organising volunteering, especially in the face of their high workload and ever-changing diaries.
