The Diaspora Community Projects is an award winning social enterprise that works in partnership with businesses, public and voluntary and community sector organisations to help reduce the number of people out of employment.
We are mainly focused on training, employment support and supply of trained staff in areas such as healthcare, security & cleaning.
Our bespoke training programmes -funded through various government grants and loans have helped many people acquire essential employment skills. We also provide tailor-made one-2-one employment support to help unemployed local people find jobs.
Our recruitment project mainly targeting big businesses keen on building their Cooperate Social Responsibility, we are now supplying staff in Healthcare, Security and Cleaning industries!.
We an approved training provider with a number of awarding bodies, We have been providing training that target the low-skilled workers in areas such as health and social care, security , construction and transport services for the last 7 years.
Since 2013 we now provide our own trained agency staff in care, security and cleaning.
We have are CQC registered and are now working towards Matrix and ACS accreditations.
Our current training programmes include our award winning PA/Employer project for training of healthcare staff, security training , apprenticeships and 24+loans.
In the last one financial year 2013-2014, we recorded a record 300% increase in turnover as a result of our innovative approach to our training programmes that our contractors have been very happy with.
Our main social aims are:
-Support local people into employment through training and employment support.
-Improve the skills and experience of local people through work placement and volunteer projects.
-Help and support individual talents and improve personal employability prospects.
-Increase social integration and inclusion through tailor-made employability programmes for the socially disadvantaged communities.
-Supplying local businesses with paid staff in areas such as Care, Cleaning and Security to help reduce unemployment and improve living standards of local people.
