Diving and hyperbaric medicine specialists, providing a 24/7 emergency advice and treatment service to NHS and private patients. Medical, First Aid, hyperbaric and safety training. Occupational medicals. Research into hyperbaric oxygen therapy and studying diver health. Our focus is on top quality treatment, training and advice. DDRC Healthcare is a registered UK charity, operating from Plymouth and Cardiff.
Charity was established in 1980, in Plymouth and has grown from volunteers in an old boat shed, to a purpose built medical centre employing around 30 people, with a turnover nearing £2 million per year. We deliver services in the UK and around the world, with students coming to visit us in Plymouth or our trainers teaching in places such as Thailand, Saudi Arabia and on board Super-Yachts.
Our charitable aim is to continue to develop as a centre of excellence in Europe for baromedical research, education and treatment, while promoting, providing and increasing the availability of high quality, cost effective, hyperbaric therapies. We answer all calls to the British Hyperbaric Association (BHA) National Diving Accident Helpline, supporting divers across the UK and beyond. Our 'Health of Divers' research supports the improved health of the recreational diving community. Our educational work drives to increase understanding of how to avoid or manage diving accidents, and to further understanding of the value of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Our medical and First Aid training seeks to save and improve the quality of lives.
