2nd May 2016
MHScot is Scotland's first Social Enterprise focusing on stress prevention and early mental health intervention in the workplace with an understanding of the needs and aspirations of workplace environments in a very person-centered way. We offer several comprehensive, tailor made training packages, workshops and bespoke services designed to offer solutions to problems that affect staff morale, performance and well-being.
We've worked with a number of voluntary, public and private sector organisations, including The University of Edinburgh, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, Balfour Beatty, LGBT Health & Wellbeing, Home-Start, The Health & Social Care Alliance, Aegon, Heriot Watt University and Places for People.
Feedback from The University of Edinburgh stated "Very knowledgeable of their subject and being open and flexible to delivery and feedback from participants able to adapt the workshops to the needs of the participants. There facilitation skills in delivering a sensitive topic using case studies, small group participation and with a variety audio visual aids not only not only helped to deliver a sensitive subject, but their personal touch helped encourage and ensure a safe learning environment.
Our mission is to highlight the colossal importance of having a mentally healthy workforce. We are also passionate that all workplaces should have up-to-date Mental Health Policies that are properly implemented and adhered to. Not only does this increase the mental well-being of workers, reducing any negative emotional burden associated with their employment, but also their motivation and productivity which in turn leads to a successful and thriving business. An unexpected outcome can also be attendees of courses are better placed to recognise signs of mental health distress and offer support. We started MHScot to help achieve a happy and productive workforce by increasing skills and achieving the outlook required to deal with the pressures and stresses of the modern workplace.
