British Forces Resettlement Services
21st April 2016
BFRS is a focal point where the Armed Forces Community and the Commercial World can engage with each other on a variety of online and offline platforms, with the primary aim of facilitating a smooth and effective transition from military to civilian life and a secondary aim of facilitating meaningful employment for veterans, reserve forces and families.
Thousands of organisations have already benefited from the growing Armed Forces Community (AFC) talent pool, they have access:
* to a huge available resource of skills and manpower from the AFC
* a long-term solution to their skills gaps and personnel shortages
* greater brand awareness within the AFC, positioning you as an organisation of choice
* a tailored programme of support to suit your company needs
We understand the value of partnership working. During 2014-15, our members and local communities had various different opportunities to benefit from having several AFC-related organisations and charities under one roof, effectively providing a one stop information shop at our Military Community Career events. For example our South West Military Community Career Fair brought together a range of local & national organisations, including Wiltshire Council, The Royal British Legion, Wessex Chambers, Heathrow Airport, Forces Homes, Free CV advice and the AFF.
During 2016-18, we will work in collaboration with other like-minded organisations, achieve a more co-ordinated and informative approach to community engagement, and to play a major role in the development and wellbeing of the AFC.
British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) is a Social Enterprise created for the Armed Forces Community (AFC). Our overall purpose is provide an all embracing, easy to access focal point where, in brief, the AFC and the commercial world can engage.
