Banana Enterprise Network
22nd August 2017
We are a UK registered Charity and Social Enterprise. We set up in 2014 and launched our first service in January 2015 and are a leading "quality" provider of effective "Real World" pre-business start-up support at grass root level supporting unemployed, disadvantaged people who wish to take their first steps to exploring the idea of self-employment/starting a business, as a potential option for work. We also offer employability training and a whole host of both non accredited and accredited personal development and business training courses. We are based in Salford but offer our training across the UK.
We have been successfully delivering training courses and support services since April 2015. We use highly experienced, industry experts for our fun and informative training courses. We receive referrals from DWP and other organisations and we have supported over 900 people so far. We have lottery funded contracts and work with well-established partners such as Gingerbread for example and local community centres. We have had contracts from housing providers such as St Vincents Housing, Newground Together, Adactus and Great Places for example.
Banana Enterprise Network helps to reduce poverty, by removing barriers to self-employment opportunities for disadvantaged people. We equip people with the essential skills and knowledge to make an informed choice about self-employment, build a sustainable ethical business and support them along their self employment journey.
