Apt awards is a national Awarding Organisation, regulated by Ofqual and the Welsh Government to develop and offer national qualifications on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Apt awards is also licensed as an Access Validating Agency by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and is approved to award the Access to Higher Education Diploma.
Apt awards is focusing on responding to market needs by working with providers to develop new national QCF qualifications, which may attract public funding. We plan to continue business growth in new and existing markets. Development and growth will be underpinned by a key aim of widening access to educational opportunities that promote social inclusion and community transformation.
Apt awards is committed to investing profits to benefit the community. Apt awards works to advance the education of the public:
- by promoting and widening participation in education and training, particularly by those adults who have previously been excluded from educational opportunities;
- by improving the quality and flexibility of education provision for the public benefit, primarily for those adults who have previously been excluded from educational opportunities;
- by improving access to learning opportunities and facilitating progression to further learning, employment and higher education particularly through the award of credits and credit-based qualifications;
- by operating as a proactive, innovative and responsive organisation with respect to curriculum development
