6 Degrees Coffee House is an creative and warm environment serving locally roasted artisan coffee, homemade cakes and freshly prepared sandwiches and salads.
We have 2 floors of seating which are available to hire for parties and private functions. We provide sandwich platters for events as well as afternoon teas for special occasions.
All our food and drink are also available for takeaway.
We are a social enterprise set up by local Leicester charity Open Hands Trust. Most of our team are volunteers which enables the profits of the coffee shop to support the Trust. The aim of Open Hands is to meet the basic needs of individuals and families across Leicester through providing food, clothes and household items and furniture as well as offering skills courses and mentoring programmes.
Track record
We are currently ranked 6th coffee shop in Leicester out of 30 on TripAdvisor and have 5 star ratings on Facebook and Google.
We have many regular visitors from local businesses and the university staff as well as students who book tables for meetings and lunches.

We also provide work placements for participants on the mentoring programme to gain employability skills.
Open Hands is committed to help the basic needs of local people in a variety of ways; through the provision of food, clothes, household items and furniture. Our aim is to help build hope and a future in individual lives through offering skills courses and a mentoring programme, providing opportunity to build self confidence and employability skills.
